Industry and Power Transmission
Industrial plants place extreme demands on obstacle lighting: harsh environmental conditions, high levels of electromagnetic interference and, in many cases, remote locations far from the mains supply. Lanthan supplies robust, field-proven systems for two key industrial sectors: power transmission and the chemical industry.
High-voltage pylons, substations and overhead power lines are often located far from any grid infrastructure and are simultaneously exposed to high levels of electromagnetic interference. Lanthan systems are designed specifically for this environment:
For sites without a grid connection, we supply obstacle lighting with an autonomous solar power supply – independent of the public grid and requiring minimal maintenance during continuous operation.
The operational status of each mast can be viewed centrally and integrated directly into your own control room via the Customer API.
Instead of complex cable connections, the systems communicate with one another via a radio mesh – reliably even over long sections of route, without the need for additional infrastructure.
Many years of practical experience with high-voltage installations – our systems are designed and tested to withstand the electromagnetic interference encountered in such environments.
Plant in the chemical industry places particular demands on material resistance: aggressive atmospheres, corrosive vapours and widely fluctuating temperatures. Lanthan offers special designs to meet these requirements:
Housings with a PTFE coating or an anodised surface are available for additional protection against chemical corrosion.
Stainless steel barrier lights with borosilicate glass in special alloys (e.g. 1.4539): To meet the most stringent durability requirements, we supply stainless steel barrier lights with borosilicate glass covers, manufactured from corrosion-resistant special alloys – designed for continuous use in aggressive chemical environments.
